SAP Automotive Summit & Digital Forum,
Chongqing, China, August 19-20, 2022

In Chongqing, experts from automotive and consulting companies attended the summit which mainly focused on the new vehicle business model “C2M”: Consumer to Manufacturer. This model connects production and sales via an intelligent platform and gives users more options to configure their cars. C2M can reduce the cost of vehicle sales and increase the efficiency of business processes, in order to accelerate the business transformation of the automotive industry.

Key takeaways from these roundtables

The discussions showed that most of the attending customers are currently in digitalisation or transformation phases and are looking for the right solutions for their challenges, be it integration with existing ERP systems, implementation of new technologies or the evaluation of solutions based on public cloud products versus on-premises cloud products.

For companies in the automotive industry, the path for transformation into a next-generation enterprise requires an even higher level of collaboration between the customers, partners and other stakeholders, with the technology partner playing a key role in this process. Their downstream markets are becoming increasingly important while at the same time being subject to ongoing restructuring.

proaxia had the opportunity to show that proaxia VSS, our innovative, adaptable and intelligent dealer management system, is able to help customers in the automotive and heavy equipment industry to successfully manage the changes in the area of sales and aftersales.

Highlight: a pioneer in the implementation of proaxia VSS, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, also took part in the event. Other automotive industry players have expressed their intention to follow as soon as there is robust feedback and an implementation case study.

It was a pleasure to attend these events. We greatly appreciated the insightful conversations with CXOs from various automotive and heavy equipment businesses and other technology leaders.

Looking forward to upcoming networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities!
